This is the place for artifacts and history about Luther and Catherine von Bora. Their website was very excited that they had recently found Luther's latrine (seriously), but somehow we missed it (so disappointed--not).

We had a limited time in Wittenberg and wanted to make the most of our time. The woman at the desk gave us a map but then seemed totally interested in helping us. She did speak English.

Great tour of this incredibly important town. We had a Fantastic guide named Michael. It makes a great difference. Takes about 1 1/2 hours.

Across from the Castle church where Luther nailed the 95 thesis (in Latin for debate for the faculty and students at the university, the bulletin board of the day). found reasonable souvenirs, a candle and "Luther socks" as well as good information in English.
