This activity can be a bit long but it was really interesting to learn about the History of the region. The place is definitely beautiful. If you plan to visit it, think about improving your language skills as the descriptions are in German and French!

The place is interesting to see but not very large. The Museum is specialized in the 20 th. century close to the entrance in one place and one can see the old walls of the middleage (16. and 17. thcentury) inside on the bottom.

Here you can inform about the history of the more than1000 yearsold city of Saarbrücken. The caves are impressing and also the history of the region. Highly recommendable.

Saarland took part in the Olympics 1952. Just one of all interesting things you get to know. And the building is great.

Excellent presentation of the local history. Reconstruction of an ancient fortification with impressing walls, water cisterns and underground buildings.

Only 5€ per person and definitely worth it. It's outside appearance is deceiving of its size. Majority of the museum is underground. Expect to spend at least 2 hours here, longer if you understand German or French. It is a great place for those interested...More

Great, great, great museum! I really liked that I was able to walk through the old castle ground place, to see the dungeon, touch the walls and learn more about Saarbrücken. The only bad thing is that writings inside of the museum are not available...More
