Really nice place. I was there last summer so was a lot of people, but had an amazing time anyway. Nice statue of a Man on horse. A lot of stairs to climb there but the view will pay for it! ❤️

The amount of space that is in the area is crazy. The guy on the horse himself was much bigger than I was expecting it to be. I thought he had been there for decades but I read that he was rebuilt in 1993. You...More

Most of the people here are Riverboat cruisers-except me. The statue is huge and you can climb the statue for a birds eye view from the top of Big Willy!

During summer time a Tour on the River Rhine is extremely interesting. Plenty of antic castles and plenty of good restaurants. You can cruise up and down the Rhine for hours at reasonable prices. Ideal to relax.

We saw the statue from our river cruise boat which was docked nearby. We took a late evening stroll around the statue and the adjacent park and then along the river bank. There were a good number of people strolling around including families with babies....More

Strolling to the German Corner offers a relaxing way to see a part of Koblenz. The sidewalk is nice and wide and offers a nice way to see the Mosel and Rhine Rivers converging. The corner is a good place to get a great view...More

Relaxing and enjoyable walk near the Statue of Wilhelm the first. Several benches along the way where you can sit and meditate or enjoy a nice book.

If you are coming from the south, ditch the autobahn and take the B9. We parked up at Tiefgarage Görresplatz and had a nice little walk along the riverfront on the Rhein side to the Eck. Overall very pleasant and the dog had a lovely...More

Hi Michelle, Around the German Corner there are paved sidewalks . Restaurants are also available on the walkways. Perhaps you could also access the Cable car to go up the fortress. Enjoy your trip!

It is the headland formed where the Moselle river flows in to the Rhine. Check out "Deutsches Eck" in Wikipedia where all is explained.
