I have visited Schloss Burgh many times while visitng a nearby aunt and it is absolutely fabulous. Think great castle, inside and out, wonderful for exploring outside on a non-rainy day, stay inside and explore and eat there on a rainy day. Great day out...More

Well worth a visit - they have done a great job of restoring the castle so you can really see how it was ... lots of lovely shops in the area as well.

I would suggest a cab, there are lots at the train station and just get the number for the cab company from the driver so you can call them for a ride back to the station.

Yes, you can go by train from Duesseldorf to Solingen and then by bus.
