Visited the BayArena to watch our first bundesliga game, website seemed quite difficult to navigate so paid for tickets on the gate, which seemed easy enough. Stadium pretty simple to get to (S-Bahn to Leverkusen Mitte and then a 15-20 minute walk). Security is very...More
I’ve been to 2 games so far and already keen to go again! Cracking stadium and friendly locals.
Easy to get to by train from Leverkusen Mitte - just a short walk through the park. Ticket prices are very reasonable (compared to top flight games...More
Great stadium with a great atmosphere. I drove from Bonn and parked my car at the Chempark near the Bayarena. From there free shuttle busses deliver visitors to the stadium and back to the parking lot after the game.

The game can be viewed from any seat which is a plus. Lots of beer, be ready for wurst on a bun or eat after the game. Best way to get to the game is by local bus. Free round trip to and from the...More

Just read your question so probably too late to be useful to you, but my understanding is that as long as you have your match ticket with you and you're travelling to the game from a reasonable distance (certainly from Düsseldorf to Bayer Leverkusen is reasonable) then you're fine and the journey is free. It worked for me a fortnight ago when I travelled from Düsseldorf to the Bayer Leverkusen -v- Eintracht Frankfurt game. It's a great stadium and the fans are very friendly (mind you ...we were supporting Bayer!)
