Set in probably the nicest outside space in the area. Good walking trails in woodlands lead you to this interesting installation. Great views from the top, shame about the graffiti however.

It's located in the southern part of Gelsenkirchen. It's a nice local spot to go for a wee walk or for biking. the trail also leads to Erzbahntrasse and Mechtenberg Reserve, a European Union certified bike track.

In my opinion this is one of the best mine heaps in region. The location is ideal, very near the town centre of Wattenscheid (though the heap itself is in Gelsenkirchen, it is in the district of Leithe which is split between Gelsenkirchen, Wattenscheid and...More

It is 100 m high fr om the sea level. Here, you can come for cycling and to feel the wind. From the top of this hill, you can have a look of the Ruhrgebiet.
