There are some interesting things in Essen to see, but you should not miss this one. I first thought that 8 Euro for 50 m2 was too much - you can see Folkwang museum for free - but at the end, it was the best...More

This is a fairly small museum, but it's packed with artifacts and you could easily spend a couple of hours there if you want to hear all the stories. Make sure to have someone working there show you around as there's not much explanation otherwise...More

Not knowing what to expect we had booked the "tour" or as I better call it a history telling. The subject is centered around Voodoo which in itself may turn off some people. However, to get a first hand report from an expert will soon...More

The Museum is small, but it offers a fully equipped Mama Wata altar, a twin-shrine and many more objects. Without a guided tour, you will miss the best. The owner is a good storyteller and he has deep insight into the west African voodoo culture....More
