Was at an EU event in Essen based in the Phiharmonie, excellent venue for an event with great facilities and easily walked to from the train station or city centre.

This is a lovely venue, with a very good resident orchestra, The Essen Philharmonic. Easy to get to (just 5 minutes from the Hauptbahnhof), with plenty of bar space, cloakroom and easy to navigate around.
