The imposing building standing firmly on the corner of a busy, noisy road - is a testimony to how much work has gone on to make the inside a place of learning, of beauty, of fascination and quite simply, of joy. It is no longer...More

A very interesting audio tour is available for this former synagogue, detailing its history and the history of the Jews in and around Essen. There is a great deal of extra information about Judaism and traditions as well as about the building.
