while you are in Köln, a walk through the historic old town is a must. During high season there are tons of people but one can enjoy the walk anyway.

The Cologne Cathedral is very majestic and built on the grand scale. I was in awe to stand outside and to walk around inside. However most of the Altstadt area is filled with less than great restaurants and beer drinking establishments. Very crowded with tourists...More

You are in the old town area and within 10 minutes walk to the Cathedral, if I am correct about your location.

Meeting place for tours is at Tourist Information Centre infront of Cathedral. If your hotel is in city centre the cathedral is reachable on foot.
