It's a nice looking building in a big town square but it's nothing spectacular. Worth looking at for a minute or two before moving on. There are far better places in the Rhine valley to spend your time.

It not open for public when I was there on the weekend but it's very nice building from the outside which hosted a lot.of famous international guests when Bonn was a capital of West Germany.

On one side of Bonn's market Square the Rathaus dominates. It is a beautiful white building. Definitely worth a photo stop in the square. I visited late Sunday afternoon while a tenor was singing in the square providing some atmosphere.

The town hall building is quite beautiful with white and golden design. We didn't go inside the town hall, but walked around the market square by it. There were some nice cafes in the square area, and a statue of Beethoven.

Nice-looking building at the market square. White and gold. Segmented windows. Stairs at both sides of the entrance.

We did not go inside as there were back to back weddings, but we understand why they chose this place. It is beautiful and post wedding provides the opportunity for many lovely pictures. Worth hanging around or getting a closer look.

The old town halls occupies the place of honor in the market square in Bonn—it is a visually pleasing building with stair railings in gilt and an impressive front piece. It is an old building, finished in 1738, and well maintained. We did not go...More

I was here in early April, and thoroughly enjoyed wandering the market stalls. The highlight for me though, besides the lovely buildings, was the delicious gelato from one of the shops in the square!

The building is just beautiful. I believe there's always a traditional market presented just like we saw at that time. I recognise it as a characteristic of a Rathaus, German city hall. It has a field for the folk to be collected and engaged all...More

Visiting this square and market remind me of Epcot Center. It's so typically German that it seems like it might be staged by Disney. But it is the real deal -- beautiful, lively and highly enjoyable!
