Well, it's where Beethoven was born. It is a shrine for classical music lovers. Lots of handwritten notes and postcards shining insight into Beethoven's life are displayed. It seems very personal walking in the rooms where such a great musician grew up.

I am not that good in music but I enjoy the calmness it brings to me. It is small house, three floors full of instruments and interesting items describing Beethoven's life at that time. The 3-D particle music was OK. Take a guided tour to...More

This small house is a wonderful little museum of history. It is well laid out and tells the story of Beethoven. It is worth the time and effort to visit even if your not a Beethoven fan.

Having been raised in Bonn , I had the privilege as a younger child , visiting the Beethoven house many times with the school ! I must have taken it for granted because I don't recall many of the things I'm noticing now as an...More

A very interesting sight. It is the birth home of Beethoven, and not the place he lived the rest of his life. There is a nice collection centered around his work and personal life. The guided tour was excellent. You get a little earpiece for...More

Well, it cost 6 Euros for an adult ticket, very underwhelming indeed. Nice old house but not much on the inside. Best thing for me was the Beethoven bust in the garden. Whatever you do, don’t queue for this.

It is interesting to have been in the building where Beethoven was born. There was a simple English room-by-room guide (pamphlet). However, all the signs under the items on display throughout the house were in German, so people who don't know the language would not...More

To fly into this area of Nordrhein Westphalen is worth it if not anything else for a visit to the Beethovenhaus. This is the house where the Master was born in December 1770 and where he received his first harsh lessons by his father. Obviously,...More

The room in which he was born is as disappointing as the whole house. Yes souvenirs, musical offerings are all there but no real atmosphere, just tourism I’m afraid. That said, perhaps my expectations were to high! So don’t expect to much if you go,...More
