This impressive structure is the site of many EU ceremonies. It is beautiful and on a sunny day makes for great photos. Plus it is right next to the Dome!

Big, nice looking building at a small square. Many parts of the outside are dark (polluted?), while other parts show the light colour of the stone.

A one hour guided tour is held on Saturday morning. Tour was in German. Excellent amount of detail on the city hall provided. Well worth it.

Aachen as a town is one of the most beautiful little towns you will see. The city hall will take you for a trip down the memory lane! Take the regional train from Cologne HBF to reach here, takes about 3 hours one way.

Nice old building which was the mayor house in the past, it can use some renovation/cleaning at the outside.

Though heavily damaged on several occasions ,most recently in 1944, this still has visible parts of charlemagne's original place visible. Good displays and interpretation .

Great ornate old building. We did not go inside. Believe it or not - there was a genuine classic car show and the start of a road rally when we visited - we are car buffs - so that was an extra treat!

Really beautiful with awesome history behind it and a must see with great windows. Really takes you back to the former glory days and to see the names of the great people

This building, used for coronation ceremonies as well as for city business up to the present, has a wonderful restored Gothic exterior and mostly Baroque interior. Damaged in WW II it has been restored and is one of the must see sights in Aachen.

Very cool town hall, much nicer than our government buildings in Australia. It took so long to build that one side has a different architectural style than the other side.

We didn't get a chance to dine there but it was very busy and is very popular Google it or find it on Tripadvisor and book accordingly. Have a good time in Aachen.
