Hidden amongst other less interesting places these ruins of an old convent are quite charming if not romantic. Easy to access and simple to go to, worth a trip there.

We had a local guide who explained all about this ruined monastery. I was fascinated to hear about how the monks brought the local bricks to the area, and I got some excellent and quirky photos here.

Nice place to take a walk. A bit sad though as only a small part of the Abbey remains. It's one of the important sites for those who like Friedrich

Nice, green, tidy and calming place to spend some time before going to beach. No written information about place in English and parking is paid (0,50€/h).

Nice place to walk, no fee. This is a place where the city of Greifswald began aroud year 1200. The structure of the monastery is still to be seen and there are guiding plates about the life and religion almost 1000 years ago.
