The city palace is nowadays used as State Parliament of Hesse, but guided tours are offered typically on Saturday. Shortly after my visit a thorough renovation of the building has been started. According to the webpage during that time most of the rooms can unfortunately...More

We stayed in this city for two nights on our way to Belgium from Berlin and we found out that its a very charming city with many old houses and beautiful architecture. Its a nice place to visit.

This building is on one side of the Markplatz area with the Neues Rathaus across the way. Interesting white building with its stark appearance compared to other buildings in the area. It was built in the 1840's as a residence for the Dukes of Nassau....More

This is a perfect place to take nice pictures of Wiesbaden, you can even see Mainz from there. It is a perfect spot to start hikes and go biking from.

From outside the palace looks like a pretty mediocre example of classicism. However, it should be noted that the Palace together with the Marktkirche, the Old and New town halls actually closes the space in the main town square, Schlossplatz. This is a three-storey building...More
