I was interested in reading the names of the victims. They were many and I was overwhelmed by the big number of them. For some reasons I was sorting the young ones who were murdered. It is a good stop to honor those innocent souls.

Shown the names of my grandparents. Surprised that they were not together because of alphabetical spelling.

This is the most moving Holocaust memorial I've seen apart from the one in Berlin. Located on the site of the synagogue that was destroyed during Kristallnacht. The memorial/monument is in 2 parts - on both sides of the street. The dark band around the...More

This is a very imposing brutalistic memorial built on the spot where Wiesbaden's synagogue stood before being burned down in Kristallnacht. Its walls are the Holocaust memorial bearing the names of all the Wiesbaden Jews who died in Auschwitz. There's good audio information on one...More

A nice memorial to Wiesbaden Holocaust victims. Much like the Vietnam memorial in DC, it has a little information and a list of names on a wall.

I think it was build 2010, so it is one of the newer memorials. To my knowledge this is the first proper memorial for the Holocause in Wiesbaden.

Unlike to Japanese who still deny their cruelty during the WWII, this serves as a reminder that war is always cruel. I agree while it is well designed perhaps more can be added to it perhaps an underground museum below this site to provide more...More

My wife an I came across this memorial unexpectedly. There is a portion in English as well as German. Very sad part of Germany's history. Its good to see some recognition of that, even if the sign lays the blame solely on the "Nationalist, Socialist...More

its easy to walk past, but harder to stop and read what's written on this moving monument. A few walls, tranversed by a road in between, but this is where stood of the largest and important synagogues in Germany. Come the War and it's burnt...More

The Holocaust Memorial was very nice but was very little to see. The system that provides sound so we could hear something about the memorial was not working. I just read what was on the wall. I didn't see any names or stories of those...More
