In the GRIMM WORLD Kassel the Brothers Grimm and their fairy tales enter the modern era. By artistic, medial and interactive means, this newly created adventure space conveys the fascination of the life, work and influence of the Brothers Grimm. In the permanent exhibition “Fabulous from A to Z” valuable originals, artistic installations as well as interactive and multimedia elements invite one to make discoveries. The internationally oriented house covers the two worldwide cultural assets “fairy tales” and “language” in a way that appeals to children and adults, to lovers of art and fairy tales alike.

Definitely, a worth landark of Kassel - both for a family and a solo traveller interested in learning something new about the famous Grimm Brother. Super interesting installations - various, bright and educational. It should also be mentioned - translated into English.

This was stop one on our 'Fairy Tale Route' drive in Germany, as the Bros Grimm were the inspiration for our holiday. Parking was just outside on the street, which is a couple of Euros. Didn't eat in the restaurant, although the views are good...More

All about the Greem brothers. Not entirely suited for English but stil worth the visit. The “bad language” spot is very nice even we don’t understand it.

First I will say that the building is a great new addition to the city of Kassel so I was really looking forward to seeing it. Having paid the additional fee for the Museum (Although I was told at the documenta ticket centre that it...More

After reading a few reviews of this Museum we were concerned that it might not be worth a visit, but we were pleasantly surprised. The museum, although not totally about the Brothers Grimm fairy tales and more about the lives of Jacob and Wilhelm and...More

This is a very informative museum - but you have to be able to read. There is lots and lots of reading to be done, even though the displays are fantastic and interactive.

This modern museum is overflowing with words and focuses on the work of the Grimm brothers compiling a German dictionary. Their beloved and famous fairy tales get a mention, but this museum is very disappointing for children who may expect interactive displays of the wellknown...More

Went to the Grimmwelt museum in Kassel which is devoted to the brothers Grimmwelt. There is an incredible array of artifacts from the Grimsby lives with lots of English translations. The most amazing thing was that they started a dictionary and by the time the...More

Don't let the somewhat boring looking outside deter you from coming to this museum. Inside it is put together very artistically and presents a wealth of knowledge. Certainly not geared towards young children but teens and adults that don't mind doing some reading would enjoy....More

The "Gebrüder Grimm" are very famous in Germany thanks to their activity of traveling around in view of collecting and publishing fairy tales known nowadays by every child. The new museum, however, gives only a very small overview of this "Grimmwelt". The main exhibition is...More
