The Altes Rathaus is impressive because it it in such good (presumably recently-restored) condition that it looks like is was just finished yesterday. An oddment about the building is the the timbers on the large side of it carry Roman numerals in order from one...More

It was built in 1531, late gothic style. The city counsil later moved to the Stadtschloss and they are still today there. The buildings are with gothic arcades, renovated completely as it was in the Middle Age
