This pub is in old Frankfurt. It is worthwhile going here for a drink and looking at the decor. So much to see. We had dinner here. The food was good. Prices were average €15 for main meal drinks €4.50

I was in downtown Frankurt around lunch time and decided to try this place since a friend of mine who lives in Frankfurt had told me that this building is one of the few that survived to bombing at the end of World War II....More

This is a real tourist trap. The Indian owner will reject any orders for only drinks and you will never see the kitchen which might be very good as the food is lowest quality. Prices are around 30 % more expensive as any other real...More

Food was great, we took schnitzels. It was traditional and surprisingly calm to eat outside though it seemed to be hectic. Service was friendly and prices were reasonable.

Very busy on a Sunday afternoon ( maybe due to location? ). Only 1 staff but coping well. Took their signature pork knukle but quality is at best average. There must be better establishment near by?

If you come by to check out the only half wood building that survive the WW2 bombing you may be disappointed. However if you also plan to check out the traditional restaurant service German specialty then perhaps it makes sense after all.

Frankfurt had over 2000 "half-wood" houses prior to WWII. This was the only one that survived in a city that was 90% demolished by bombing. Today it houses a 'period' bar-restaurant. Testament to the fact that over 200 cultures live in the city today. Mine-host...More
