This is the place for you if you want plenty of bars and restaurants. Gets really busy at weekends so if planning on eating there I would advise picking a restaurant and booking it. This is the real heart of Frankfurt were most people live.

We had an absolute blast in the Sachsenhausen neighborhood of Frankfurt. Awesome vibe, good food choices and really laid-back atmosphere. We (my wife, her sister, and myself) ended up meeting two German girls and sharing a dinner and watching the England WC match. Great night,...More

A good night out over the weekend! Good bars and restaurants and local character, this is my favorite part of Frankfurt to hang out in. And Frankfurt too my favourite city!

The historic district of Frankfurt is home to the Museumsurfer embankment and some of the oldest wine houses of the city. The area was partially damaged during the second world war but manages to retain its old world charm. Definitely worth a visit.

Especially at night when going out, this neighbourhood is amazing. I came here with 2 American friends and oh boy we drank quite a lot in different bars but it was tons of fun!

After reading about this neighborhood, I could not wait to go. However, the cobblestoned area is quite small and seems to be comprised of bars and restaurants and more bars...nothing else. We did enjoy some good meals here, but other than that, an underwhelming experience....More

Our hotel was located in this part of town. Has many bars, restaurants and shops. Hung around the open air eateries at night enjoying the warm climate.
