The Große Bockenheimer Straße is called Fressgass for a real Frankfurter. It hosts some nice bistros, is always busy, starts at the Alte Opera (Old Opera House) and has e.g. also the Frankfurt Apple Store as one more reason to come here.

As a first-timer going through this road in early spring, every plant, bush and tree was in bloom. With the afternoon sun, everyone was in a festive mood, and it showed: all terraces were full with revellers. What an atmosphere...!
There is not much to see waking here. Some nice restaurants, the Chinese general consulate, banks and commercial buildings. You probably will be stuck in traffic on this street, not even knowing it is the Grosse Bockenheimer.
