I used to be a regular at the Balalaika in its previous incarnation (opposite the Dreikoenigkirche) back in 1999 to 2001 before it moved to Schifferstrasse - Anita (the owner) used to sing and play until the early hours and any night could end up...More

I frequented the Balalaika Bar (different location) back in 1969 - 1970 and it was always a lively place. This visit, it was completely empty save the bartender and a few of his friends. He was very accommodating, though, and our group had a great...More

Lovely bar introduced to us by friend. Atmosphere is just so relaxed and music played was great. We even had a chance to play guitar. Tanks for your hospitality. We hope you will have more people like us enjoying your lovely venue in relaxed atmosphere.

What a depressing place. There was nobody behind the bar for at least 20 mins after we came in. It's called a music bar but I couldn't hear a thing besides people chatting... Then at once one of the guests started playing the paino... Mmmmmm,....

A very friendly melting pot of music, drinks, musicians and those who enjoy the music and ambiance. The music is usually impromptu (anyone can preform!), but there are also regular gigs. There is no cover charge. A great mix of local, national, and international customers.
