The park is within easy walking distance of the central market. It has a small lake and many acres of trees and lawns. There is an excellent outdoor restaurant. The Greek salad was one of tastiest and most generous I've ever ordered --- it could...More

I grew up playing in this park, and with the exception of the restaurant located in the center, it really has not changed much over the years. A great place to relax, enjoy your surroundings, reflect in peace.

The Herrngarten offers a delightful walk (any time of year) between the Johannesviertel and Martinsviertel, or from either of those quarters into town. There have been cases of muggings at night, so stay clear after dark if you are alone.

The Germans did not have such an explicit cult of gardens and parks, like the Britishs, but they know a lot about gardening art. For what the proof is Herrngarten. It has a variance of styles, and consists of several sections, each of which is...More

Beautiful city park worth a leisurely stroll to enjoy. Abuts the Welcome Hotel and city center, so access in and out is convenient. If you have the time and the weather is suitable, a walk through instead of a taxi to find a restaurant or...More
