The tunnel itself was not very special, they could pimp iT up. On the other side you can see the skyline of Hamburg Which is pretty nice but beside that nothing special. We recommend to take the elevator ;).

Good walkway tunnel if you want to see the city from the other side. well lit. safe. cctv. lifts and stairs. takes about 20 mins to walk through

Walking the Elbtunnel fascinates because of the old engineering skills. The stairs take you 21 m down. Even cars may drive through due to big wooden lifts.

This is worth a visit and is free to enter. But not easy to find. There is no clear signage but we eventually stumbled on the entrance. It is about 10/15 mins walk in either direction and a great visit on a rainy day.

Very busy tunnel with cyclists, tourists and locals. There are elevators going up and down or you can choose to take the stairs.
