Until the opening of the Elbphilharmonie, this was the "concert hall of Hamburg". Nice building, very good accustic and excellent concerts. Nowadays try it, as usually you cannot get a ticket to Elbphilharmonie.

I found this building while exploring Hamburg. It is located near Johannes Brahms Platz. I liked the ornamentation located around the structure.

Good thing they are building a new symphony hall in Hamburg. Attended a concert this evening and could not see the pianist (soloist) OR the conductor! Moved to some empty seats in another section after the concert started and were shocked we still couldn't see....More

...it's a beautiful building and the programme is attractive but be careful where you sit..the acoustics are not that good when you have a seat in the so-called "Loge/n"..better to spend a bit more money and sit in the Basement...
