I was wandering across the square saying the Brandenburger gate is around here somewhere, when my partner pointed at a building completed covered in scaffolding and netting.
At the time we visited there was nothing visible of the building at all.

After the real one in Berlin ( which is not amazing either ) in my opinion, This is like a poor mans version.
Still theres LOTS of more interesting places to see in and around Potsdam , So not to worry
