Very Small bar but very crowded We paid 3 eu for the entrance fee ok music (indie rock the night I was there) but I wonder if it's actually a bit overrated?

The first time I went to Monarch it was a great electronic Dj making me dance until 6am! The second time, a very nice concert of The Bones JR Jones! It's awesome how this place can be converted into so many different styles and environments,...More

Good sight lines, cheap beer and a cool lineup of rising international bands. Interesting view of Kotbusser Tor U-Bahn station from the long window. Great place to see a show.

We saw a few bands here--it's a classic dive bar and a great place to see music--reminded me of the 7th St. Entry in Minnneapolis.

Tiny, crowded and only accessible by a dingy stairway that only smells worse as the night goes on, it's still worth a tour. The bar tender is efficient and the drinks cheap. The music was great and you'll try to dance even if there is...More

Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can
both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central
neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the

Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s,
rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a
carefree life here. An old hospital even became a
hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today
