Zoo Berlin is home to over 15.000 rare and endangered animals representing more than 1.500 species and subspecies. It is the most speciose zoo worldwide. Zoo Berlin is located in heart of Berlin, opposite to the train station Zoologischer Garten. The tasks our zoos of today are faced with are many and diverse. And there is more than one reason to keep animals. Since 1844 visitors to Zoo Berlin can relax and learn. Comparable with a living, green oasis the zoo today lies directly at the heart of the city. Here you can relax and learn new facts about the most diverse zoological subjects as your interest takes you.

I was hugely impressed with Berlin Zoo and especially the Berlin Zoo Aquarium. All the exhibits were educational, showed the status of how threatened the species were and also was in English as well. I would 100% go back and see it all again.

I really enjoy going to a good zoo and I think that the Berlin Zoo is a very good zoo. It was established in 1844, is the most visited zoo in Germany and it has an extensive collection of animals, including the only Pandas in...More

Even though there many of other attractions, the main one is the Panda. Unfortunately the window glass doesn't allow you to take good photographs. You have to spend at least half day to enjoy the full zoo. Totally recommended but be careful with the "tickets...More

The panda exhibit and the monkeys were the best I think. It is a nice zoo that is very close to the subway station. The line for tickets can get long so be prepared.

This is a huge zoo. We didn’t even see all of it and we spent hours there. If you’re buying a ticket for the zoo, I recommend buying one for the aquarium too. It’s only a couple euros more and the aquarium is awesome, it...More

A huge amount of interesting animals you don't always meet in zoos, like giraffes and panda bears. Quite large area, so prepare for walking. Underground nearby, maybe 300 metres. I specially recommend the zoo for Sundays, when almost all the shops in Berlin are closed,...More

Absolutely amazing zoo. Huge enclosures for the animals, you can see the animals up close and you could sit for hours watching them be as natural as possible. All the animals had plenty of food and could see the animals had entertainment, clean environments and...More

Our family trip to Berlin was based around the fact that the zoo was exhibiting 2 pandas. We paid for a dual tickets that allowed us entry to the zoo and aquarium however you could pay for either individually. The dual ticket was approx 21...More

Berlin ought to be ashamed of this barbaric center of animal mistreatment. A herd of five or six elephants live in an enclosure of sand and dirt -- not a blade of grass to be seen, and no water to splash about in. We arrived...More

Spend part of a day at least walking the expanse of the amazing Berlin Zoological Garden, right in the heart of the city a stone's throw from the famous Kurfürstendamm. Better yet, buy a combination ticket to also enter the Aquarium adjoining, which is also...More
