Overview
More
The Friendly Society is a little fashion, art & culture department store with a mini café in the city district Berlin-Mitte, close to Kastanienalllee/Zionskirchplatz. You will find paintings and sculptures of contemporary artist, ladies and men's fashion "Made in Germany" (approx. 20 design lines from casual to extravagant, made for the red carpet), accessories (jewellery, handbags, ties, bow ties, etc.) and hand-craft works (porcelain, glass objects, wooden pedestals/mounts, picture frames, etc.) on two floors. In our basement salon we have an extensive display of original fashion jewellery and handbags on sale, with emphasis on the 1950es and 1960es. Our art cabinet offers a wide spectrum (over 600 exhibits) of high quality works of art. Beside our monthly Sunday Salon (music, readings, performance) we organize approximately 6 thematic art exhibitions a year, and we also participate in the Berlin Fashion Week. It is possible that almost every article we have on sale can be made-to-measure fitting your needs. We will gladly help you find the correct matching frames, mounts, and glass for your pictures, and the ideal solution for the presentation of your sculptures, artefacts, or antiques. When you visit the Friendly Society please bring some time with you, because a professional, fair, individual consultation leads to excellent results. We are open: Sat. & Sun.: 12:00-6:00 pm, private Showroom Appointments: Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 10pm We will be happy to great you personally in the Friendly Society. The Friendly Society was founded over 12 years ago, the middle of 2003 by Gregor Marvel-Wyrwich and Christian Heinrich. Until August of 2006 we were located in the Gipsstrasse 23, in Berlin Mitte. Since September of 2006 you can visit our little art department store now located in the Griebenowstrasse 23, close to Zionskirchplatz and Kastanienallee on the border to Prenzlauer Berg.

In Berlin you've got many hip places that can be quite a bit the same. And then there are really unique places. This is one of them. Check out http://www.friendlysociety.de/ and meet the friendly folks at the store.

Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum
Island. The central location makes this one of the
city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
