Charlottenberg Palace was interesting but a bit disappointing. We kind of felt like it was a Versaille “wanna be”. The entire place, including the pretty but somewhat limited gardens, just looks tired. Be prepared to pay extra if you want to take any pictures.

Built from 1695 to 1713 by Johann Arnold Nering in baroque style, it was one of the favourite residences of Brandenburg electors, Prussian Kings, German Emperors as well as Hohenmzollern family members. Berlin's largest palace complex. Its White Hall and Golden Gallery are among the...More

This is a lovely castle to explore for a leisurely half day. I recommend the full ticket so you can enjoy the castle and all the outer buildings. The audio guide provides great information and detail; without it you will only access a small amount...More

It's worth taking an afternoon out of a busy itinerary to visit this palace. I suggest using an audio headset to learn about the history of the palace and then to stroll around the gardens and water.

Well the outside was badly in need of being introduced to a brush and weeding. Inside was interesting and worth visiting.

Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through
the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which
lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood.
Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city:
upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades
and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone
streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through
little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop

Hi I can’t remember the price but if you get a Berlin pass then a lot of attractions ....like the palace are covered by the ticket price...so maybe worth looking into.

We were there in July and there were no long lines. Combined ticket allows access to four buildings including mausoleum and is definitely worth doing.
