Tierpark Berlin-Friedrichsfelde is open 365 days a year to its visitors from near and far - also on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Covering 160 hectares this landscape zoo has yet to meet its match. Here await you spacious open-air enclosures for...more
This park/zoo is amazing, there are so many well kept animals. You better have you walking boots on, it is massive. Great for couples, family's or just anyone. If you go definitely check out the polar bear!
So Berlin has the Zoologischer garten & Tierpark as two different zoos... but at sa.e time there's also what so called Tier garten (adjacent to Zoologischer but it's not a zoo, so be careful where you want to go)
We had a family ticket cost...More
This is one of the best zoos I have visited. It is large and does involve plenty of walking so use the map, plan footwear and work out toilet, food and drink stops. There are many more animals than the website gives the park credit...More
The park is nice, has many animals, big, you can spend there the whole day. It is cheaper than Berlin Zoologische garden, but I like Zoologische garden more (in terms of animal selection, location and maintanence).
I have visited Berlin Tierpak many times, I usually try to visit one of the Berlin Zoos every time we visit Berlin. Berlin Tierpark has a very impressive animal collection including many endangered species, specially mammals. They host many species I have never seen in...More
More like an animal park than a zoo - a huge park that took us all day to walk round and see all the animals! Great park though with a polar bear, black bears and tigers! Probably needs a bit of planning as the animals...More
The Berlin Zoo is pretty cool and has some pretty nice animals, but some animals weren’t there because it was too hot and the new Panda area was packed because it was new. Plan your trip to the Berlin zoo carefully to see all the...More
This is the best zoo I have been to. A huge park with tall trees that provide shadow in the hot summer days. All animals have large spacious habitats and it’s just a great way to spend half a day.

Both zoos are great for a visit. The Tierpark is more open and feels less crowded especially when the weather is fine and there are lots of kids around. All the usual animals can be found. I saw tigers, lions, bisons, elephants, zebras, brown & polar bears, camels, giraffes, apes, crocodiles, flamingos, tropical birds, penguins, rhinos, kangaroos/walabies, lemurs, hippos, gorillas, pandas. The downside, all the indications and descriptions are only in German and last year this also went for the guide brochure (don't let that spoil you visit!). Have fun, Best wishes.
