I'm not very interested in such musuems, but decided to visit on recommendation anyways. Found it quite interesting. I didn't realise that film and TV had played such a part in history, and it was interesting to learn about it!

Well made museum of the history of german cinema. You are led trough different epochs of cinema history in a visually stunning way. I recommend going if you love cinema or history. The souvenir shop was pretty ordinary, if you don't enjoy reading books about...More

Not sure we had set out to visit this museum, but it was a cold wet day and we were here, so we went in. Nicely laid out and good to wander around.

Great visit to this unusual museum on the 4th floor of the Sony centre. It is an arresting museum telling of the history of German film from late 19th century to present day. The mirror walkway is fun and clever. The Marlene Deitrich is the...More

Perhaps my favorite museum in Berlin is the Museum für Film und Fernsehen, the film and television museum, housed in an ultra-contemporary purpose-designed building in the Sony Center in Potsdamer Platz. I would probably go there no matter what, because I find the permanent exhibits...More

Lots of great displays in here including some old films. The best part was the collection of Marlena Dietrich memorabilia, and explanation of "Metropolis."

As a film lover I was really looking forward to this. It was really interesting, but I have to admit that after a certain point you're seeing the same things around 5 times. AN interesting visit, but it won't take you too long to get...More

I really enjoyed my visit to the film museum. It is free on a Thursday between 4 and 8pm, which is a great way to save a bit of cash. I think the main exhibit was on level three and the temporary show was on...More

I seem to recall that the entry fee was very good, 7 Euros. This is for all the permanent exhibits and special exhibits which are happening at the moment.
