Lots of great displays in here including some old films. The best part was the collection of Marlena Dietrich memorabilia, and explanation of "Metropolis."

As a film lover I was really looking forward to this. It was really interesting, but I have to admit that after a certain point you're seeing the same things around 5 times. AN interesting visit, but it won't take you too long to get...More

I really enjoyed my visit to the film museum. It is free on a Thursday between 4 and 8pm, which is a great way to save a bit of cash. I think the main exhibit was on level three and the temporary show was on...More

A must for anyone with interest in films. Don't bother buying the audio equipment, it isn't necessary. The building is stunning but the lifts were very sick when we were there.

We really enjoyed the museum, an interesting display of film memorabilia, as well as history of how film has developed in Germany. Particularly enjoyed the section dedicated to Marlene Dietrich, was great to see all her costumes as well as items from her life. The...More

As a Film fanatic, this museum has amazing material on the early German Film Industry, and on Expressionism. Beautiful displays about The Cabinet of Dr. Caligary or Metropolis, objects that belonged to Marlene Dietrich, and more information... I loved it.

I found this place to be fascinating and beautifully laid out. I'm not a massive German film buff but even I found it interesting. It focusses mainly on early Geman film up to the 50s but the real draw for me was the layout. You...More

Admission is 7 euros per adult and includes and normal and special exhibitions (note that there may not be a special exhibit at the time, it depends on the season). The museum covers German film from the inception of the camera to the end of...More

A must for any film fans. The displays walk you through the early German silent films to about the 2000s. Lots of original equipment, film stills, scripts, tickets, props, posters costumes and a few models like a recreated miniature soundstage of the Cabinet of Dr...More

I very much enjoyed this small cinema museum at Potsdamer Platz, but it does have relatively specialist interest for non-Germans (its focus is German cinema after all!). There are some interesting displays of Marlene Dietrich costumes and props from Fritz Lang's Metropolis, plus a section...More

I seem to recall that the entry fee was very good, 7 Euros. This is for all the permanent exhibits and special exhibits which are happening at the moment.
