I visited Tempelhof tours organized by the company located at GAT twice. At first - in 2016, when I was deeply impressed, but didn’t see one of the main attractions - Arrivals Hall - it was closed due to event & face-stupid security didn’t allow...More

This historic airport with vast sorrounding buildings looks like a graveyard. The fabulous location on the hill, over Kreutzberg it is a prime residential area....it is a paradox to see these extensive facilities dormant of any purposeful activity. The airfield itself is an underuterlised hotch...More

Was here Saturday 8th, the sheer size of this building is amazing, apparently the 5th largest building in Europe. The tour last around two hours. But still amazing.

The entrance to the airfield wasn't well indicated - we had the impression that we could enter the airport but as it was now housing those who were seeking asylum (a good use of an abandoned building) - we couldn't see parts or all of...More

Constructed in the 1920's and reconstructed by the Nazis in the 1930's and later used during the Berlin Airlift the Zentralflughafen Tempelhof has quite a history. The terminal building is huge at over 1 km in length.

The THF English Guided Tour is mandatory and is excellent. There is a German equivalent. They take you to parts inaccessible to the general public and explain the context. There is a lot of history to this airport and it is now closed. It is...More

I can only agree with other people on here, no way to get into the building itself due to security and everything is locked, you can walk around the outside and on the old airfield and get some great photographs. The tour is... More
