Was visiting Berlin and needed something to do on a Saturday night. Saw that they were showing Tosca so gave it a go. Really enjoyed the live atmosphere

Awesome way to catch a first class classical experience without having to limit yourself to just one musical piece. Relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Sipping a glass of wine whilst enjoying the pergormances. I went on my own and quickly got into conversation with people around...More

Went three times, two ballets and one opera. Outstanding performances. Ballet was dazzling. You could feel the audience doing "Oh! " . "Ah! ", as the dancers were performing. They should do a world tour with this ( Berlin Stadt Ballet, with Don Xichotte )....More

Perfect!! It costed 30 euros for 3 hours.. totally worth it.. I advise everyone to go! And if you’re a student you could get a ticket for 15 euros! You just have to show your student Id!

We went for a production of Salome - a production which had received varied reviews - we found it memorable - the orchestra and the singing were both of a high quality - but it was the production/direction that fascinated most and has kept us...More

I had a night alone in Berlin and last minute purchased a ticket to Aida. I have seen Aida performed other times in more traditional productions. This one was quite unique. The setting was stark contemporary (as I understand is au courant in Germany). The...More

I have to say the opera here was beautiful. The acoustics are wonderful. However this building is not only a fire trap, if you are taller than 5'11" your knees will be in the chair in front if you. At 5'5" I could not cross...More

This was the main opera house in Berlin while the city was divided. It is not a classic opera house, but it will do. I remember going here four times during two weeks in June when I was a student in West Germany in 1962:...More
