To top off my day on the Museum Island, I scooted over to the Neues Museum to take a closer look at the Golden Hat than I had been able to get in July 2015, due to the summer crowds. This time, the room where...More

So much to see - and Nefertiti the star attraction didn´t disappoint. You are now permitted to take photos of her standing behind a line. You can easily use several hours there.

This one of the 5 museums on museum island and you must see all 5. All the museums have unique pieces to be seen. Most go here to see the bust of the Queen. However, some of the pieces from Egypt that the museum hold...More

The building itself was badly damaged in the war. The entire inside is rebuilt to a beautiful standard that compliments the collection perfectly. It is worth going just to see the interior of each room! Of course the collections are great and not too much...More

I have always loved the Egyptian collection in the British Museum, but this Museum has a far greater collection, which is presented in a beautiful setting. If you visit Berlin you cannot miss this Museum. Even our Teenagers were engaged by the collection.

Really nice museum, a lot of interesting things to see, even if the works next door were a bit noisy. Really nice staff, and a super interesting book shop

An excellent museum. No queue when we arrived (9-45am) We pre booked our ticket with the hotel anyway but didn't need to. It is an excellent museum with a free audio guide. Plenty to see from Roman and Egyptian times rounded off by the bust...More

The Neues Museum is a high class museum. It was an interesting visit. For me the highlights were the old findings from Egypt and the Roman times. There was no queue to the museum.

My 6 year old thought this place was even better than the dinosaurs at the natural history museum which shows how good the exhibits on show here are.

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum
Island. The central location makes this one of the
city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given

If you have a Museum Pass or Welcome Card you will get in quickly. The Neues Museum is large and spacious and not crowded when we went in late August, so a timed slot is not really necessary.

No time slot required. You can buy tickets online before hand or buy in the day at the front desk in the museum

I didn’t get your question. You actually don’t need to book a separate slot for Nefertiti and Amarna sections , you can just go through those. The trick is don’t get yourself tired walking through less interested sections... More
