The layout is really bad but honestly never mind since they are not really placing exhibit with any special orders anyway. Me and my son used the audio guide since we don’t speaks German. There are still only limited info and honestly very boring if...More

A few exceptional pieces, many good ones, but on the whole just ok compared to similar world class museums.

A few nice exhibits but overall we liked the Pergamon so much more. Right next door so certainly worth a visit!

We visited the Neues one month ago, traveling independently before hosting a trip to East Germany. The new Egyptian displays, including Nefertiti's head, are stunning! (More are to come!) We also viewed treasures of Troy, a fascination since childhood. While sampling my best apple strudel...More

It is worth visiting the Neues Museum if only to see the head of Nefertiti. Quite beautiful! Lots of other interesting exhibits.

This was my son's top 'must see' of the museums on museum island and it did not disappoint. We spent about 2 hours walking around and it was lovely.

Yes, Nefretete and the golden hat make a very good impression. But apart from that there a lot of exhibits tak - lets be honest - are quite boring, like the ancient pottery, knives of jewelry. Speed visiting recommended.

When I finally got the chance to visit the renovated Neues Museum I was astounded and amazed. Both the collection as the building are a must-see for every history and architecture lover. The recent renovation by star architect David Chipperfield gave a cutting edge and...More

There are actually quite a lot of impressive ancient Egyptian artifacts at this museum. I was pleasantly surprised. I visited only to see Nefertiti’s bust in person and was not disappointed.

This is a museum that is rich in antiquities. It is well laid out and even on a day when there were crowds it was easy to see the exhibits. Sadly you can take photos of Nefertiti.

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights

If you have a Museum Pass or Welcome Card you will get in quickly. The Neues Museum is large and spacious and not crowded when we went in late August, so a timed slot is not really necessary.
