Having sampled the Residenz, it's a fairly short stroll to the cathedral (Dom) and one worth making. Wurzburg is a beautiful city in the Franconia region of Bavaria and well worth your visit. As ever, church buildings offer a delightful place to simply sit and...More

A good place to be when hot wether outside. Many old clerical stuff, statues etc. The cave (Krypta) is not open all the time but worth visiting for gothic people and people liking middleaged atmosfere.

Must see in Würzburg! Mix of tradition and modernity, minimalistic design. Interesting underground facilities.

The cathedral is quite impressive - easily reached in the middle of the city. It is quite busy here with many visitors, but there is a good reason for this as it so impressive.

If you know Wurzburg......you'll know that St. Kilian is a central figure in its history. The St Kilian Cathedral itself, is a central landmark in the Wurzburg skyline. It has a pure white, serene, interior and is worth a visit.

St. Kilian Cathedral, a beautiful baroque church, stood out clearly in the market plaza of Wurzburg. The white colored external facade was impressive. Furthermore the Museum am Dom also displayed artworks from 10thto 20th centuries. Worth to have a look inside if you have time.

Another stop on our AmaWaterways tour - St. Kilian Cathedral. The noble facade of the Neumunster, a fine Baroque church, is attributed to Johann Dientzenhofer. Inside, a Riemenschneider Madonna in stone stands in the southeast niche of the rotunda. The church is the burial shrine...More
