Nothing special about his square. Usual array of food and oddment sellers. It is worth a visit as you stroll along the malls.

I am a sucker for old town squares. This, like most, has shops, restaurants, and interesting architecture. While small, it does reflect the city life. When visiting, get to know the locals, they will tell you a lot about their city.

The backdrop to the market is the wonderfully rococo tourist information office - the interior severe and modern behind the restored facade. The market is a pleasure with plenty of stands owned by the surrounding restaurants where good Bavarian fare comes at a reasonable price.

Bustling and vivid market square. A nice place to have a picnic while looking at the nice buildings. Also a lot of souvenir shops and restaurants.

Here is the centre of Würzburg. There was no market when we were there but some tents doing campaign for something. Nice building around the square also restaurants, shops, and a brunnenobelisk. The eye-catcher are two buildings next to each other with totally different colour....More

The market place is part of any visit to Bamberg. Pretty buildings, lots of shops, restaurants and cafes and the fruit and vegetables stalls are wonderful. Buy what takes your fancy and eat you go about your day.
