Loved this church. I just walked part of the Camino so it was extra meaningful. The altar pieces are stunning. The huge wooden alter carving upstairs by Tilman Riemenschneider was amazing and worth spending some time admiring. There is a small charge - 2.50 euros...More

Visited this church using the free Rick Steve's Europe audio tour. The church is not that special, but has a big importance for pilgrims and changed through out history.

this is a very nice church with interesting altar carvings and stained glass. It is a good 25 minute visit. Expect simple; you will be disappointed if you expect the beauty and ornate churches of some other countries.

My kids had never seen a church of this magnitude and they were fascinated by the altar that supposedly holds a drop of Christs blood.

Just enjoy the nice exterior. There is no need to pay a fee to get in, as the interior design is not much to admire.

St. Jacob's Church was the main church in Rothenburg located near the market place. The church looked attractive from outside. If you want to see the Blood Altar on the second floor of the church, you need to pay the entrance fee of 2 Euro...More
