Visited the Tower while traveling from Wurzburg to Fussen on the Romantic Road. Rothenburg is another picturesque medieval village. German charm, pedestrian walkways and lots of stone buildings. It's what images of fairy tales are made of. Had to stop for to climb the tower....More

If you have not lost your breath climbing up, you will with the view. Well worth the effort to see over the town and countryside. An interesting selection of old photographs and some history is on display at the top.

A challenging climb especially at the end, but the panoramic views are spectacular! And you don't have to pay til you make it to the top! When you get tired climbing, think of the ticket lady who has to climb it everyday!
