We were here on a cold January visit....we enjoyed so much just wandering around, sipping on hot spiced wine and learning about the historical past of this old walled city. It was our goal, to enjoy several of the smaller towns in Germany, in contrast...More

Thank God, Munich managed to survive the WWII bomb raids and restored its Old Town. Unlike in Berlin, here you may really feel Germany and German character.

It somehow feels wrong to say this city is Disney since it is medieval (amd Disney decidedly not), but it sums it up fir short. Cobblestone alleys with old, nicely restored and painted houses, surrounded by beautifully restored ramparts on which you can walk, and...More

Loved every moment in Rothenburg ob de Tauber even in a cold and rainy winters day. The old town is so quaint and cute! So many things to see and photograph.

Very well-preserved town showing historical Bavaria. The views of the old town are like looking at a postcard. The buildings are beautiful, the food kiosks sell delicacies, and there are many stores selling German made goods.

While Christmas is probably the best time to visit, a trip on a hot summer day or rainy April afternoon can equally be rewarding. This walled town is full of beauty, atmosphere, charm and surprises.
