My husband and I braved the 365 steps up the Daniel tower. It wasn't too bad of a climb especially since we were the only couple in the whole tower for most of the journey. The stairs start with a series of stone spiral stairs...More

When you get to the top, there's not much room to move around, so you have to go one way. it's a perfect way to see how the town is built in a circular shape. You need to be fit to negotiate the steps and...More

I did not visit the tower, but the views can apparently be quite nice, if the weather allows it. The church itself is not that impressive.

It is a long steep set of steps but the 360 degree view is beautiful. Gives perspective to the “crater”. Small fee when you get to the top. Very windy up there and even in the clouds we enjoyed.

The bell tower of the church is called "Daniel" by the locals. After climbing the stairs to the top, one is rewarded with amazing views in all directions that provide a great sense of Nördlingen's circular layout.

This was well worth the climb up the steps you really got a great view and clear indication of where the crater was as well as a view of the city.

It doesn't actually take very long to get to the top of the tower and the views are definitely worth the climb!

If you are visiting Nordlingen and St. George's Church, don't miss out on a chance to climb the church tower (Walk to the outside, rear of the church to find the tower entrance - costs €3,50/person) You will be rewarded with some great views overlooking...More

Nordlingen is a beautiful town. Climbing up the tower is tiring but the views are great. There is a cat living in a tower but we did not see it. You can see some photos of the cat sitting on the railing which I think...More

Such a quirky treat! The human powered lift, the views, the cat (not that we saw him) and very helpful Towerman.

A tower in the center of town with the church. Very high, thus it has great views out over the city. Long climb, but very much worth it.

350 steps, stone to start with, then wooden, getting narrower and narrower. Best not to look up, that put half our party right off, and they headed back down. You pay near the top, which seemed weird to us, worth the cost, there was a...More
