There is a large collection of steam locos, mostly kept in a roundhouse, but some in scrapyard condition around the site, should be on every railway enthusiasts itinerary, but try and choose a day when they are operating trains on the neighboring branchlines.

This was reviewed under the Railway Museum. As stated there it has old engines, old cars, a turn table, and is housed in former train sheds. Worth it if you're a train buff.

If you are interested in railway history this is an excellent museum. Has old trains and is located in old railway sheds. Has a number of train cars also and a turn table.

Smaller museum just near to the railway station with historical German locomotives from the 20th century. Adequate for small kids and groups! Entrance fee for adults was 6 EUR and we have a free ride with an older Diesel locomotive for some minutes.

This is a great small museum obviously run by dedicated people but not quite as polished as the museum in Neuenmarkt, Saxony. Still, there is a decent engine roundhouse full of a range of German steam engines; many were marked from Nordlingen. All the signage...More

Deutsch only, no English available. But if your interested in trains, this is really worth to visit. Small shop to buy DB related items and movies.

Not many trains to see and what there are look like they've been poorly salvaged. It's a walk out of town and 6 euro to see junk! You can stand on the normal railway station and from there see all you need to see free...More

seven euros entry and to be honest you can see more for free at the NYMR! There is a lot of rolling stock but it's badly presented and doesn't give the impression of a thriving museum but rather of one in decline. There is some...More
