Regensburg is nothing like Nuremberg but it has sufficient charm on its own and is a totally unpretentious little town. Had an Loh evening walk then a 5 km jog next morning and found it to be a lovely town to relieve our long journey...More

From the moment we joined our guide for the walk along the Danube into this quaint old medieval town, we knew it was special. Everywhere is so green, clean and picturesque. As we walked through the narrow cobbled streets and the wider shopping areas there...More

The Regensburg Old Town is a remarkably preserved medieval city. From the moment you step across the historic stone bridge, you will find yourself part of a city from another time--narrow streets, medieval architecture, shops, cafes all giving the visitor the feeling of stepping back...More

Old town Regensburg is a charming old town on river Danube. It has all the characteristics of a typical fairytale town of Europe. With homerun bakeries, pizzerias to handmade souvenir shops, a bridge over the river, cathedral and quaint narrow by lanes- it has everything...More

The tour of old town was nothing special except it is an old german town. Like most is has narrow streets, a lot of shops and restaurants, and friendly people. Whether you are shopping or just looking, it is a great place to be.

When you think of Europe and Germany, Regensburg is not the first city that comes to mind when it comes to old towns, historical architecture and "must-sees". But why not? The city is not to big, not to touristy but beautiful.

This town has been my favorite so far of the many we have visited along the Danube. It is quaint, well kept, flower boxes everywhere, many shops for every budget selling German made goods. Water closets easy to find and free. Would have loved more...More

Our tour group spent a partial afternoon in this UNESCO area site and found it to be a terrific stop-----on the Danube, yet. Many buildings are medieval in style, and many of the shops and eateries are very charming (and very reasonably priced).

Hi, most famos is the 'Wurstkuchl'. It is nearly by the 'Steinernen Brücke'. You can eat Bratwurst and drink something. Wish you a very pleasant stay
