The story is as interesting as the statue. But there is soooooo much more to see in Nuremberg! One of the highlights of our river cruise.

An eye catching sculpture in the middle of town featuring a motley crew aboard a boat. I think you need to undertake some research to unravel its meaning and significance but nevertheless it is a visually striking piece of art and provides a great photo-opportunity

A very interesting statue in the main plaza. Great detail and workmanship. The skeleton is really cool along with the other cast of characters.

We passed this sculpture near to the Children's Kindlemarkt. You need to walk round to see all the characters. Not sure of the history

This sculpture is based on Sebastian Brant's 1494 satire, Das Narrenschiff. Of course, it helps if you know a little bit of the story!
