Finally something a bit weird made into art in a historic place. Life isnt always beautiful amd saintly, and this rabbit is a good macabre representation of this fact. It reminds me of the Rats of Nimh and the evil rabbit in Watership Down.

We had visited the castle and were making our way to visit the Albrecht Durer House when we noticed this lump of metal on the cobble stones of this lovely little square. On Closer inspection we saw that it was a weird statue of a...More

I am over 65 but I never seen such an ugly statue. I know its based on a Durer drawing. The drawing can be seen in the nearby Durer house and the drawing is a qite normal one. The square is a lovely place with...More

On a walking tour around this delightful city we came across this totally weird monument of a dead hare. Quite large and unattractive. Would not recommend looking for this unless you like this kind of thing ??

The hare is located just down the hill from the castle in a small square. It is certainly large and impressive but a little grotesque. Just across the road is the house where Albrecht Dürer lived which we didn't have time to visit during our...More

This I discovered accidentally - noticed a girl sitiing and reading a book, alone, in the middle of a small market, full of cafes, terraces and tourists. Then the monument itself cought my eye. I am not sure what it means, but it looks different...More

A very bizarre monument in a tucked away square. People have a variety of feelings and emotions after seeing it - they are either intrigued by it or quickly walk away from it shaking their heads.

A walk to the northern wall came across this piece of art. I understand it to be a rabbit/hare, but it looked to me more like a giant rat. Well, art IS subjective.....

One of a number of interesting statues in the city centre. All of these statues are very detailed and there must be a story behind them. They can be appreciated however as works of art. This one is a bit more surreal than most
