This is the main gate from Stachus leading into the famous pedestrian shopping Kaufinger street and Marienplatz. It is of Medieval design and great place to take photos.

It is very easy to wander through here and not notice it because of the throngs of people. Do stop and look at it and feel the history. There’s more to life than shopping which you’ll probably be doing for the next hour!

This lovely gateway was the entrance to a very relaxed pedestrian area, broad streets with interesting shops and restaurants. All in the old town of Munich. Spent a very pleasant evening in this area, and would recommend it to anyone.

This gate provides a good photo opportunity as you enter the old city. You will be surrounded by by people as it is in a very busy shopping area.

This gate appeared by accident as we explored the city. That is the joy of meandering around a city you don't know, on foot. I don't know the history of this wall but it was a nice photo op.

This is a great piece of architecture that has stood the test of time and history. This was built to last and protect the city from people wishing to invade the city. Now it welcomes visitors and is a great photo opportunity
