City surfing - with the all the anthropological aspects of viewing an elite tribe - grab a space and watch the antics - all for free

This is a must see in the English Gardens. If it’s a warm day take your swimmers because it looks so much fun you just want to jump in !

Just the place to go when the sun is hot. Particularly for the young at heart. Everyone takes it in turns to have a go at mini-surfing, some lasting less than a second and others displaying their talent.

Never seen anything like this before. Seems quite easy but hard to maintain balance. There were surfers at this location till late night even after dark.

Really enjoyed the park. The wave is interesting and enjoyed watching the surfers old and young. Was nice and cool as Munich was very hot!

Could spend hours here, some of the surfers are really talented and as a surfer it's a bit surreal to see this hundreds of kilometres from the coast!!

We are a couple in our 60's and stayed in a nearby Airbnb with our kids. It was fun watching the surfers both nighttime and daytime.

It was amazing to watch people surf on this, pretty fast flowing, wave. Very easy to find, just look for the crowds of people! There are variety of different skill levels that attempt it; my understanding is you have to have some ability, I don’t...More

The English Garden itself is well worth a visit, but this part is probably its greatest highlight. It's fascinating to stand and watch the local surfers taking it in turns to ride the waves in this fast-flowing stretch of water at the southern end of...More

I stayed here for almost an hour watching the surfers do there thing. The only problem was I didn’t have my bathers to go for a swim. Bring a towel and a little picnic and you could spend the whole day here.

I have seen them in November and December. There just might be a few less than summer.
