This building had an air raid shelter in the basement, and the video art exhibit that was there in September was in those rooms. Each room had a different video displayed, some of which were unusual and some were extraordinarily unusual! We thoroughly enjoyed the...More

The building is located close to the Englischer Garten and is very imposed, but is beautiful, as well as being cavernous on the inside. The admission price was very reasonable, and was reduced for students. The installations inside were numerous but well-spaced - art wasn't...More

This museum was near our Airbnb. The building was very interesting and we enjoyed some of the exhibits especially a multi media sculpture in the entry lobby. The museum is near the English Garden and the Eisbach Wave.

Contemporary art isn't good topic to explication: you have to see and to feel it by yourself. It's totally worth of spending there more than 2-3 hours.

Constructed during the Nazi era, the building displays the typical architecture of the era. It now houses an art museum and will be of interest to art lovers.

This was my first time visiting Haus der Kunst, a contemporary art museum with revolving exhibitions. Before coming here, I did my homework and checked their website to see if there was something that interested me. I would encourage you to do the same. Contemporary...More

We saw the Kiki Smith exhibition in Febraury. The building itself is worth seeing and its history is made clear in a permanent exhibition. It was built to house the Nazi's 'art' and now it houses modern art - exactly the opposite of its intention....More
