Enjoy an amazing collection in a beautiful setting. Many works by well known artists such as Klimt and Van Gogh, and many other works by perhaps lesser known artists who will still stimulate your mind and please your eyes. A perfect day could be spent...More

Really enjoyed this museum. It’s particularly strong in French impressionists. My particular interest in Caspar David Friedrich was well served although I’d to pass a great deal of stuff to find him. One of Van Gogh’s Sunflowers is here and it struck me how happy...More

From Thomas Hibber, Thomas Lawrence, to Monet and Van Gogh - this museum has so many nice pieces to offer. Do bring a pen and a notebook to write down the names of the pictures and dig in a art history research when you back...More

I spent one hour enjoying the paintings and a few offbeat displays that filled a room. This is not a huge museum that takes a day. I was unable to find the van Gogh sunflower painting that is so often shown online for this museum,...More

A gallery in the centre of Munich that would grace any City in the world. There is an important collection of paintings and sculpture from the 19th century onwards. Relatively quiet when we visted but shouldn't be missed when in Munich. The highlights are pieces...More

Some fantastic pieces here including Van Gogh’s Sunflowers. Well laid out museum and absolutely worth a visit. Sunday’s are only one euro entry too - fantastic value. Definitely recommended.

One of a number of wonderful museums in the Art Disrtict in Munich, the Neue Pinakothek provides paintings and sculptures from the old master's. There are approximately 400 works of art from the 18th and 19th century to include Manet, Van Gogh, Monet and Cezanne.
