A traditional large city market with all the goods represented. Clearly this is where the locals go to get the better more niche goods and where people grab a cheap fast lunch. Really enjoyed walking around.

An excellent choice of food and drink bang in Munich city centre. Ideal in warm weather when you can sit outside with a beer or a fruit juice and eat anything you want. Just round the corner from the Hofbrauhaus as well

The Viktualienmarkt was one of our favorite places in Munich. There was so much to take In. Cheeses, fresh fruits and veggies, olives, spreads, breads, wines, beers, prepared food, trinkets, etc. Highly recommend!

Close to Marieplatz and place to buy different kind of Cheese, condiments, fresh fruits and vegetables. It is not big market but everything is available. Fresh bakery items are available too. There a beer garden and cafes too.

Nowadays every city seems to have a fresh market, so it has to have something extra to stand out. Unfortunately, Munich’s is just average. A lot of the same food over and over again. Not much actual seating so if you got food, you have...More

This market is something I encountered on a walking tour and is a secret weapon for tourist as far as interest goes. Walking around here for 20 minutes even if you don't buy anything gives you amazing, diverse smells and allows you to see beautiful...More

This is a Bavarian experience of sights and smells. The dappled sunlight coming through the trees and tents and umbrellas made a delightful impression.
